What Pushup Mini Games collects, what it never collects, and how you stay in control.

Last updated: October 4, 2026

The short version

  • Your camera video never leaves your iPhone. Pushups, planks, head and mouth movements are detected on the device. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded.
  • Duel voice is live only. It goes straight to the friend you are playing and is never recorded or stored.
  • We cannot see which apps you block or use. Apple's Screen Time framework hides app identities from us.
  • We store only what the app needs: your account, profile, scores, reps, plank time, minutes and streaks.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

1. Who we are

Pushup Mini Games ("we", "us", "the app") is an iOS app that turns pushups and planks into games and lets you earn minutes to unlock the apps you choose to block. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the app and this website. By using the app you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: email address and password, or the identifier and email provided by Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only receive the relay address.
  • Profile: username, display name and an optional profile picture.
  • Friends: the friends you add, so you can see leaderboards and challenge each other to duels.
  • Support messages: anything you send us by email.

Information created while you use the app

  • Game and activity results: scores, high scores, pushup reps, plank time, minutes earned and spent, streaks, difficulty, badges and duel head-to-head records.
  • Settings: your preferences, block schedule and notification choices.
  • Purchase status: whether you have an active subscription, provided by Apple through our payment provider. We never see your card or payment details.
  • Basic technical data: app version, device model, iOS version and error logs needed to keep the service running.

What we do not collect

  • Camera images or video, or any face or body data.
  • Audio recordings.
  • The names of the apps or websites you block or use.
  • Your precise location, contacts or browsing history.
  • Advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Camera and body tracking

The games are controlled with your body, so the app uses your iPhone's front camera while a game, plank or rep session is open. This is how it works:

  • Everything runs on your device. Frames from the camera are analysed in real time by Apple's built-in Vision framework to detect body pose points (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, ankles) and a few face landmarks (nose position and how open your mouth is).
  • Frames are discarded immediately. Each frame is processed in memory and thrown away. Video and photos are never recorded, saved to your phone, uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone, including your duel opponent.
  • No face recognition and no biometric identifiers. The app does not identify who you are, does not build a face or body template, and does not store any measurements of your face or body.
  • Only results are kept. What gets saved is the outcome, for example "12 reps", "45 seconds of plank" or a game score.
  • The camera is only active when you see it. It turns on when a camera screen is open and you will see your own preview on screen. iOS also shows its green camera indicator while it is in use. It stops when you leave the game.
  • In duels only game data such as your paddle position and score is sent to your opponent, never your camera picture.

Camera access is optional. You can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings > Pushup Mini Games > Camera, but camera-controlled games will not work without it.

4. Microphone and duels

In live duels you can talk to the friend you are playing against. If you allow microphone access:

  • Your voice is captured only during an active duel and is streamed live, as low-quality compressed audio, to your opponent through our real-time service.
  • Audio is never recorded, stored or transcribed, by us or by our providers. It passes through and is gone.
  • You can mute yourself at any time during a match, or deny microphone access entirely and still play duels.

Please be respectful. We are not able to review voice conversations because we do not keep them, so block or remove anyone who makes you uncomfortable and contact us if you need help.

5. Screen Time and app blocking

The app blocker uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity). When you pick apps to block, Apple gives the app anonymous tokens, not app names. We cannot see which apps you selected, which apps you open, or what you do in them.

  • Your selection, block schedule and unlock windows are stored on your device in the app's private storage.
  • Screen time statistics shown in the app are generated by Apple on your device and are not sent to us.
  • You can revoke Screen Time access in iOS Settings > Screen Time at any time, which turns off blocking.

6. Apple Health and motion

If you choose to enable features that use steps, the app may ask to read your step count from Apple Health or the motion sensors. This data is used on your device only to calculate in-app rewards, is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is not shared with third parties. The app does not write anything to Apple Health. You can change this in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

7. Photos

Photo library access is only used if you choose a profile picture, or if you choose to save an image such as a score card to your library. We only receive the single photo you pick, and it is stored with your profile so friends can see it. You can change or remove it any time.

8. How we use information

  • To run the app: create your account, save your progress and minutes, and sync across reinstalls.
  • To enable social features: friends, leaderboards and live duels.
  • To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
  • To send notifications you allow, such as streak reminders or duel invites.
  • To fix bugs, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
  • To answer your support requests.

Where privacy laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the app you asked for), your consent (camera, microphone, Health, photos and notifications, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings), and our legitimate interests (security and improving the app).

9. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We only share it with providers that help us run the app, under contracts that limit their use of it:

ProviderPurposeData
SupabaseAccount login, database, file storage, real-time duelsAccount, profile, progress, friends, duel game data and live voice in transit
RevenueCatSubscription managementAnonymous app user ID and purchase status
AppleSign in with Apple, App Store purchases, Screen Time, Health, notificationsAs described by Apple's own privacy policy
GoogleGoogle Sign-In (only if you choose it)Your Google account email and basic profile

Other users can see your username, profile picture, scores and leaderboard position if you are friends, and the opponent in a duel hears your voice if you talk. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

10. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app under Settings, which permanently removes your profile, progress, friends and uploaded photos from our servers, usually within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records by law. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app. Camera frames and voice audio are never retained in the first place.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access to our database is restricted with per-user access rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach where required by law.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/EEA and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, for example by turning off camera or microphone access.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email pushupminigames@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information, as defined by the CCPA.

13. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, for example 16 in some EU countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

14. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, these transfers are protected with appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
